TWELVE BAR BLUES BAND

Amsterdam , The Netherlands

A group of men are posing for a picture in front of some stairs.

Living by the mantra, “The Blues, the whole Blues, and nothing but the Blues!” Playing mostly originals in traditional Chicago and New Orleans blues styles, 12BBB has gained fans worldwide, including Omaha. Formed in 2006, the group made a name for itself in the Netherlands and abroad with its debut CD, The Blues Has Got Me. They solidified their spot in the blues universe with their 2008 sophomore effort, Email From Heaven, which received the 2008 CD Of The Year Award from Bluesforum.nl, and 2010’s Key To Your Heart and 2012’s Life is Hard gained more media and music fans. Led by vocalist Jan J. Scherpenzeel with his whiskey-soaked warm voice and skilled blues-blooded guitar Kees Dusink, the band lays down emotion-laden grooves. DWM Music USA calls 12BBB "…the best electric blues we've heard in a while." 12BBB's first and only U.S. performance is in Omaha, NE at PwF!
