The band boasts a formidable lineup composed of Bruce McCarthy on drums, Mike Meusel on bass, the newest addition, John Kervin on keys, Stephen Dyte on trumpet, and Julian Nalli on tenor saxophone.


Bywater Call's accolades include multiple nominations for Independent Blues and Maple Blues Awards, spanning categories such as Entertainer, Electric Act, and Best Female Vocalist for the 2024 Awards Season. Their electrifying performances have garnered widespread acclaim across Europe, with Dutch, German, and UK media hailing Meghan as one of the premier female voices in blues and roots music today.


In August 2023, the band made waves aboard Joe Bonamassa's Keeping the Blues Alive at Sea Mediterranean Cruise, sharing the stage with headliners Blackberry Smoke and Christone "Kingfish" Ingram. Guitarist Dave Barnes also had the honor of joining blues legend Jimmy Vivino on stage during the cruise. Their festival appearances worldwide have consistently left audiences in awe, earning them the reputation as the "find of the fest."

Joseph McCarthy is a born-and-raised Omahan whose life has been a symphony of music from the start. Growing up as the youngest of eight siblings, Joe was steeped in a melodic tapestry that ranged from classic rock to blues, igniting a lifelong passion for music.


Today, Joe is a full-time singer/songwriter whose music embodies the essence of Americana, Home Grown Roots, Blues, and a touch of Country & Honky Tonk. What began as a childhood pastime became a thriving career fueled by Joe's unwavering dedication.


Starting as a solo acoustic performer, Joe later lent his talents to local blues, rock, and country bands, earning recognition for his blues band, 'Little Joe & Big Trouble,' a staple in the Omaha Blues & Rock scene.


Influenced by musical greats like BB King, Neil Young, and Waylon Jennings, Joe's songwriting prowess shines through in his two full-length studio albums, 'Find Another Fool' (2014) and 'Down This Road' (2019), both brimming with original compositions.


Produced locally at Warehouse Productions alongside some of the Midwest's finest musicians, Joe's albums capture the essence of his musical journey. Whether performing solo in Omaha and nearby locales or gracing stages across the western United States, Joe's music resonates with audiences far and wide.
